Important Information on the HPV Vaccine

HPV is a very common virus; nearly 80 million people—about one in four—are currently infected in the United States. Learn how you can protect the children in your life from this cancer-causing virus.

The Virginia General Assembly requires the VA Dept of Health to provide parents of rising six grade students with information on Human Papillomavirus (HPV) and the HPV vaccine to ensure that parents are well informed of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's recommendation that children ages 11-12 receive the vaccine.
