Mr. Denney - Geometry

WELCOME TO GEOMETRY

My name is Michael Denney and I am staring my ninth full year of teaching at Mary G. Porter. I am a graduate of Hamilton College in Clinton, New York, and received a JD from the University of Virginia Law School. After spending 25 years working for the government and in private practice, I became a career switcher eleven years ago. Although I have middle school and high school teaching endorsements in Math, English, and Social Science, I love teaching math!

I am excited to be teaching Geometry this year. With the COVID-19 pandemic, our typical practice of sending a group of eighth graders to a nearby high school seemed untenable. So we decided to bring it back in house. I am particularly happy to be reunited with a very strong group of eighth grade students, and I look forward to sharing this adventure with you!
