Poems and Roller Coasters!!!

The students had the opportunity to take a ride on a virtual roller coaster using our Virtual Reality view master. They were able to use their excitement from the roller coaster ride when practicing their oral reading.
Social Studies and Science
The students just finished their social studies unit on the industries and products of Virginia. Everyone did an excellent job on our end of unit assessment. In science the class is learning about cells, tissues, organs, and organ systems.
I can believe it's already the third quarter already! We are working on finishing up our social studies unit on the Products and Industries of Virginia. The students have a test this Friday and have a study guide in their folders. In math we have been working on elapsed time and our VAAP standards.
The States of Matter
The students continue to work hard on their VAAP standards. This week we have delved deeper into the states of matter, studying the molecular composition of each form. In addition to the VAAP standards, the students have been working on their money skills this week.
The students have begun using their PWCS student accounts and are learning about appropriate uses for their account as well as the Microsoft 365 suite. Each student has their own username and password. You can find your student's information in their agenda.
